Privacy Policy
What happens to your personal information when you contact Remy Systems, and the rights you have over it under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
1. Who is responsible for your information
Remy Systems is a solo digital services business run by Rhyne Murray from Pretoria, South Africa. For this policy, Rhyne Murray, trading as Remy Systems, is the “responsible party” under POPIA. Contact: rhyne@remysystems.com or WhatsApp 081 789 8630.
2. What the contact form collects
- Your name, phone number and email address
- Your country and the service you're interested in
- Anything you choose to write about your business
- The date and time you gave consent
To keep spam out, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots. It does not ask you to solve puzzles and is not used for advertising.
3. Why it's collected
Only to respond to your enquiry: to understand what you need, come back with a recommendation and a quote, and follow up about that enquiry. Your information is never sold, rented or added to a mailing list without a separate, explicit opt-in.
4. Where it is stored
When you send the form, your details create a record in Remy CRM, the customer relationship management (CRM) system Remy Systems built and runs for itself. Remy CRM runs on Cloudflare (Workers and the D1 database), and access is limited to Remy Systems by Cloudflare Access sign-in. Cloudflare acts as an operator on Remy Systems' behalf and may process data on servers outside South Africa, so submitting the form involves a cross-border transfer of your information, which POPIA permits where the recipient is bound by adequate protection.
This website is also hosted on Cloudflare. If the CRM is temporarily unreachable, or you've enquired before, a copy of your enquiry is emailed to Remy Systems through Resend, an email delivery service, so that it isn't lost.
5. How long it is kept
Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and are deleted within 24 months of our last contact unless you become a client — in which case records are kept as required for accounting and tax.
6. Analytics and cookies
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not build a profile of you. There is no advertising tracking on this site, which is why there's no cookie banner.
7. Your rights
Under POPIA you may at any time:
- ask what personal information Remy Systems holds about you;
- ask for it to be corrected or deleted;
- object to it being processed, or withdraw your consent; and
- complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
8. How to exercise them
Email rhyne@remysystems.com or WhatsApp 081 789 8630 with your request. You'll get a response within 30 days, and requests to delete an enquiry are usually handled within a few working days.
